Halloween Ghost and Spider Cookies
Ingredients:
- 2.64 lbs of wheat flour,
- 3.16 oz of powdered sugar,
- 5.29 oz of cold butter,
- 1 egg.
For the Filling:
- 1 bar of semi-sweet chocolate, melted,
- 1 bar of white chocolate, melted,
- candy eyes.
Method of Preparation:
Step 1: Combine flour, powdered sugar, and cold butter in a bowl, add the egg yolk, and then mix with a paddle attachment or knead by hand.
Step 2: Turn the dough out onto a surface, knead, and then form it into a ball. Wrap it in cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 3: After refrigerating, roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface. Use a cookie cutter to shape large circles, cutting an additional circle in the middle of a quarter of the cookies.
Step 4: For a quarter of the cookies, cut two sizes of circles similar to a snowman shape. Follow our recipe video for clear instructions on this process. Bake at 356 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.
Step 5: Cover the solid cookies with melted semi-sweet chocolate and place a cookie with a smaller cut-out on top. Fill the window with chocolate, draw spider legs using a toothpick, and add candy eyes.
Step 6: Coat the remaining cookies with white chocolate and apply the double-circle cookie shape. Fill the window of these with white chocolate and use the semi-sweet chocolate to create eyes.
Step 7: Once the chocolate has solidified, the Halloween cookies are ready to be served. Enjoy!
