A coffee drink stimulates action, and with the addition of millet, it can serve as a quick second breakfast. It is an ideal choice for people looking for a healthy and nutritious meal that is easy and quick to prepare. You can cook the millet in the evening, and in the morning, simply blend it with your favorite fruits, yogurt, and milk. I recommend a delicious combination of coffee, peanut butter, and banana.

Cocoa-coffee smoothie with millet

This smoothie tastes like the best dessert but is healthy and refreshing. It is a summer must-have that I enjoy every week. Adding cooked millet to the smoothie is a great way to create a delicious and filling breakfast meal that will provide plenty of energy for the whole morning. Millet is rich in protein, fiber, and minerals, significantly elevating the smoothie's nutritional value.

Cinnamon, cocoa, and peanut butter enhance the smoothie's taste. Thanks to the banana, it is also sweet. The ripeness of the banana will determine how sweet the drink will be. Optionally, you can also add some sugar. Both cow's milk and a plant-based substitute work well in this recipe.

Ingredients:

                  
  • 1/2 cup of cooled coffee,
  • 1/3 cup of cooked millet,
  • 1/2 cup of milk,
  • 1 banana,
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of cocoa,
  • A pinch of cinnamon,
  • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter,
  • 2 teaspoons of brown sugar (optional).

Preparation method:

          
  1. Brew coffee and let it cool.
  2. Cook millet according to package instructions. Cool it down.
  3. Transfer the millet, coffee, and remaining ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
  4. Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve immediately.

A simple dessert and healthy snack in one is now ready. You can also chill the smoothie in the refrigerator and serve it cold—it works perfectly for hot days. Enjoy!
