Declassified court files reveal Epstein paid $15k for Prince Andrew's tryst with Virginia Giuffre

In late December, a federal court ruled to declassify hundreds of pages of documents associated with Jeffrey Epstein's case. The first collection of files pertaining to the lawsuit by Virginia Giuffre against the billionaire's former partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, surfaced last week. This release included the so-called "Epstein's list," which contained dozens of notable names, who were involved in the case. Among these names was Epstein's known friend, Prince Andrew, whose name appeared in the documents over 70 times. Additionally, the declassified documents suggest Epstein secretly filmed the Duke of York during sex. The existence of a sex tape featuring Andrew has been confirmed by one of Epstein's victims, Sarah Ransome.

Virginia Giuffre claims payment for sex with Prince Andrew; amount disclosed

On Tuesday, another set of court documents was revealed, which provided salacious details about Prince Andrew's past. Among the declassified materials were Virginia Giuffre's testimonies from 2016 in Florida, where she alleged the billionaire had paid her a considerable sum for sex with Prince Andrew.

As reported by People and Daily Mail, during the questioning, Giuffre confirmed that she "received either 10 or 15 thousand dollars from Jeffrey Epstein, or on his behalf, for sex with Prince Andrew.". She also revealed the precise amount she was paid.

"Yes, I received 15,000 dollars. I'm not sure what this amount equates to in pounds; I received it in US dollars." - Virginia Giuffre testified in 2016.

She was also questioned whether she paid tax on the amount received years ago. Giuffre debunked this claim. In her testimony, she described a meeting with Andrew in London during which they visited a local club together. She mentioned that the prince had ordered clear drinks for them, and hers contained alcohol.

According to the Daily Mail, in one of the recently disclosed documents, Giuffre also claimed that another royal used her. She mentioned a prince who "spoke a foreign language." Although he also communicated in English, she was uncertain of his origins. The testimonies of Virginia Giuffre that came out on Tuesday are part of the final batch of documents declassified by Judge Loretta Preska's order.

In 2021, Virginia Giuffre formally sued Prince Andrew, accusing him of sexual assault. She claimed that she was forced to have sex three times with the brother of King Charles, while she was underage. These encounters were allegedly orchestrated by Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew had previously denied having any involvement with Giuffre (formerly Roberts); during a notorious BBC interview in 2019, he maintained that he "does not recall ever meeting this woman". However, the assault case concluded with a settlement estimated at around 12 million pounds (approximately 16 million dollars), which, according to media reports, Queen Elizabeth agreed to pay on Andrew's behalf.

The Duke of York has been stepping back from official duties for several years now and only sporadically appears with other royal family members. As more details about the Epstein case surface, the public is increasingly demanding that Andrew face the repercussions of his association with the deceased billionaire. Following the unveiling of Epstein's list, the prince has reportedly been reported to police. British media speculates he can also anticipate a severe response from King Charles.
