During the night, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv with anti-aircraft missiles for the second time. The first attack occurred earlier in the evening. Russian troops targeted the city and its suburbs with guided air bombs—fortunately, there were no casualties at that time.
The mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, initially reported hearing an explosion in the city. He later announced that one of the attacks took place in a densely populated residential area.
"According to available information, a supermarket in the Shevchenkivskyi district is located near high-rise buildings. Preliminary reports indicate that power lines and ground electrical communications were damaged. Windows in nearby houses were shattered," reported the mayor of Kharkiv.
"One of the hits was recorded near a residential building. Multi-story residential buildings, cars, a supermarket building, and other commercial properties were damaged," Ukrainian rescuers reported.
Third attack in Kharkiv
Terekhov reported that there was another attack in Kharkiv. "Another attack took place near one of the markets in Kharkiv's Kholodnohirsk district. Preliminary reports indicate there were no casualties, but windows were shattered. All relevant services are working at the scene."
