Damiano David just released a new track, "Silverlines," which previews his solo project. However, the single has raised concerns among many Måneskin fans. Are the band members giving up their joint careers for their ideas?

Måneskin is an Italian rock band composed of vocalist Damiano David, bassist Victoria De Angelis, drummer Ethan Torchio, and guitarist Thomas Raggi. The group was formed in Rome in 2016. A year later, the musicians decided to try their luck in the Italian version of the "X Factor" program. They took second place and released their debut EP "Chosen." Måneskin's career gained momentum in 2021 when they won Eurovision and became known worldwide.

Måneskin are launching solo projects

It's been four years since Måneskin's Eurovision success. During this time, the band has significantly developed. The group has sold out hundreds of concerts in the largest venues in Europe. They have also appeared at many prestigious festivals and award shows. It was also a fruitful time in terms of music. Since their debut, the band has released three albums - "Il ballo della vita," "Teatro d’ira: Vol. I," and "Rush!".

The band members decided to try their hand at solo careers. So far, Victoria and Damiano have succeeded in this. The bassist started a DJ project a while ago. She presented her original sets at this year's summer festivals. Damiano, however, chose a familiar direction, which is songwriting. On September 27, he released the first single heralding a new era. The song "Silverlines" is an atmospheric ballad in which he showcased his vocal skills. The song was produced by a world-renowned producer operating under the pseudonym Labyrinth.

Is this the end of Måneskin?

Many fans are not very enthusiastic about the band members' solo projects. Some cannot enjoy the new releases because, in the back of their minds, they have thoughts related to the end of their joint career. However, Victoria decided to reassure the fan club. In one interview, she said: "We just finished our tour a couple of weeks ago and it went amazing so now we are just having a little ‘chill moment’ but of course, we are not done."
