Czechs crowdfund Black Hawk in $2.3M 'gift' for Ukraine

The Czechs organized an initiative called "A Gift for Putin" and raised over $2.3 million to purchase a military Black Hawk helicopter. This helicopter will be sent to Ukraine to aid in the fight against the Russian military. It's the first instance of the public buying military equipment to support Ukrainians.

Vladimir Putin might not be pleased with the "gift" from the Czechs. The Russian leader will receive a "big present" as part of the Czech volunteers' campaign. It's a modern military Black Hawk helicopter destined for Ukraine.

The helicopter purchase is the result of the successful "A Gift for Putin" campaign. A total of $2.3 million has been raised. Launched in November 2023, the campaign garnered support from more than 20,000 people.

The military UH-60 Black Hawk will be delivered to the Ukrainian armed forces this month. This will enhance the offensive capabilities of the Ukrainian army in its battle against the Russian forces.

We did it! The Czechs are sending a Black Hawk helicopter to Ukraine. We managed to secure a cheaper, newer machine that Ukraine urgently needs. Let’s finish what we started together and send Chestmir to fight against the dark Empire - announced the organisers of the fundraiser, as quoted by the British "Metro".

The Czech public is the first in the world to directly support the Ukrainian army in this way. The helicopter for Ukraine was funded entirely by grassroots, voluntary donations.

The UH-60 Black Hawk will undoubtedly be a significant support for Ukraine on the front lines. The helicopter is regarded as one of the most durable and versatile machines globally. It serves as the primary assault vehicle for the United States Army.
