Bramboraki - basic recipe

With the phrase "Czech potato pancakes," you will mainly find suggestions that they are made in no time. The potatoes must be grated on small holes, and you can confidently use a food processor or blender for this purpose. This cooking stage definitely speeds up the work. For 2 pounds of potatoes, you should prepare 1 tablespoon of potato flour, along with simple seasonings such as a bit of marjoram, salt, and pepper to taste. This is the basic version; more often, meat is added to the pancakes during the frying stage.

Bramboraki - what to serve with

Potato pancakes with a pork chop inside are the deluxe version of bramboraki. Thin slices should be slightly pounded, seasoned, and placed on a layer of potato batter on hot oil. Then, cover the top with a portion of batter. Fry until golden, ensuring nothing is raw. Adding a side of cucumber salad or sauerkraut to such pancakes gives you a meal that will keep you full for a long time.
