CD Projekt Red announces that the Cyberpunk 2077 universe will see a live-action production, so a movie or series is possible. Real veterans - Anonymous Content - have been engaged in the work.

In the universe of Cyberpunk 2077 lies a vast potential that can be utilized in productions that escape the definition of computer games. Just mention of the animated series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, which has rocketed onto Netflix's hit list, stealing the hearts of thousands of viewers.

This, in turn, caused Cyberpunk 2077 to reemerge into the limelight, and everything suggests that CD Projekt Red does not want this brand to be forgotten - it has been officially confirmed that the Cyberpunk 2077 universe will undergo a live-action production. The Polish company reports that for this purpose it is joining forces with the studio Anonymous Content. This somewhat confirms the words of a representative of CD Projekt Red, who said at the end of 2022 that the company "has an appetite for more".

A movie (or maybe a series?) in the world of Cyberpunk 2077

The series or film will be the offspring of a joint effort between CD Projekt Red and Anonymous Content, which is a studio that has esteemed productions such as the series "Detective" or "Mr. Robot". Anonymous Content also collaborated on Oscar-winning box office hits such as "The Revenant" or "Spotlight".

What to expect?

From the published information, it appears that we will receive an entirely new story in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. The project is in a very early stage of development, and the creators are currently looking for a scriptwriter. The entire project will be completed in cooperation with a Polish developer. Those engaged in the work on the Anonymous Content side include Garrett Kemble, David Levine, Ryan Schwartz, Bard Dorros, and Charlie Scully. We will receive more information in the not too distant future.
