Cucumber peels: Secret weapon for cleaning and pest control
Not everyone likes the taste of cucumbers with the skin, so some of us often peel them before eating. The part we remove usually ends up in the bio-waste bin. It turns out that it can still be used in many ways.

We usually dispose of them, not realizing they could still be helpful. Cucumber peels have many uses, most of which we're unaware of. Fortunately, we're here to help.
Cucumber peels for cleaning
Each of us struggles with stubborn stains on faucets or countertops. Sometimes, stains, dirt, or limescale refuse to budge, so it's worth turning to time-tested solutions that our mothers and grandmothers used years ago.
For this purpose, we only need cucumber peels and about 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Mix both ingredients thoroughly until a uniform consistency is obtained, and use a microfiber cloth to clean the dirty areas. Finally, wash everything with water, and it's ready.
Cucumber for ants
Cucumbers can be handy when dealing with pests in the garden. Not everyone knows that they contain cucurbitacin, a deterrent. Ants dislike this substance, so they should quickly leave our property when they sense it.
All we need to do is cut the cucumber into slices, which should be laid out in the garden. To enhance the effect, it's good to place them on an aluminum tray. However, this action should be repeated several times a week to ensure that the unwanted guests do not approach the plants growing in the garden.
