Cruel death of Hamas terrorists. "A slight gust was enough"
Hamas terrorists met a brutal death when they attacked Israel by air on Saturday. As seen in the video posted online, their paramotor hit a high voltage power line and instantly caught fire. A gust of wind may have caused the tragedy. The crew had no chance of survival.
On Saturday, Hamas terrorists attempted to bring Israel to its knees by launching a massive attack on areas bordering the Gaza Strip. The country was first bombarded using missiles, of which there could have been as many as five thousand, and sometimes the famous Iron Dome struggled to cope. Then the fighters moved into enemy territory.
Some of them made it onto Israeli territory through underground tunnels, others utilized the maritime route and landed on the beaches, and yet others surprised with their ingenuity. They used the airborne route and special paramotors. Hamas boasted about a recording of the attack and bragged that it has its own aviation. And indeed, it can be called that.
One of the crews tragically ended their mission, on high-voltage lines.
Perhaps the tragedy was caused by the wind, just a minor gust was enough to carry the paramotor off course and hooked it onto the wires. Everything then happened very quickly, as the machine caught fire, and the crew suffered a cruel death on the spot. The fighters had no chance of rescue, they found themselves in a deadly trap.
The terrorists didn't reach their target, where they were supposed to kill civilians and fight with the Israeli army (IDF), someone managed to record their last moments in action. The idea of using paramotors was successful, and the element of surprise worked in favor of the Islamic fighters. Israel could not expect that they would breach the border wall by air.
They did it in places where there were no IDF forces, conducting precise reconnaissance with drones.
Hamas attacked Israel, hundreds of innocent people are dead
The balance of the Hamas terrorists' attack on Israel is staggering. 1200 people were killed, of which only 241 were Israeli Defense Force (IDF) soldiers, and the rest were innocent civilians. The brutality of the attackers surpasses all imagination. Several hundred people were also killed on the Palestinian side, as the Jews did not leave the attack unanswered.
And as the authorities announced, the retaliation will be unprecedented. The military increased its strength to over half a million soldiers in a few days, heavy equipment was brought in, and a ground invasion of the Gaza Strip is being prepared. The area is constantly being bombed, while special forces work on the elimination of Hamas leaders at many levels.
Hundreds of innocent people are dying on both sides of the barricade. Hatred, however, is ablaze, and there is no end to the conflict in sight. Palestine wants freedom, Israel revenge for the innocent blood spilled. On Saturday, as many Israelis lost their lives as during World War II. Since the time of the Holocaust, the nation has not experienced such a tragedy.
