The croissant burger is a popular trend combining two worlds: flaky pastry and bold burger. This innovative combination is winning over the hearts of food enthusiasts worldwide because they truly complement each other. It's worth trying for yourself, especially since the recipe is simple and quick.
As the name suggests, a croissant burger is a burger where a fluffy and buttery croissant has replaced the bun. This unusual mix of sweet and savory creates a unique harmony of flavors. The meat, cheese, vegetables, and sauces, which are typical burger ingredients, combined with the delicate, buttery pastry make for an extraordinary composition. Your loved ones are sure to be surprised, and the plates will come back empty after such a meal.
Croissant burger
This trend makes sense. Since it appeared online, it quickly became a hit among fans of new trends. It's perfect for lunch, can be served for dinner, and is the star of the evening at gatherings with friends.
You can choose the toppings according to your preferences. We went with the classic combo of fresh cucumber, tomatoes, lettuce, and mayonnaise with an egg addition. This burger tastes good both warm and cold, replacing a sandwich. Choosing whole-grain croissants is best, although the buttery ones also work well.
Ingredients:
- 1 buttery or whole-grain croissant
- 2 slices of tomato
- 3 slices of cucumber
- 5 oz ground beef
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 2 leaves of lettuce
Preparation Method:
Step 1. Cut the croissant in half. Slice the tomato and cucumber (preferably at an angle).
Step 2. Grind the meat in a grinder if you're not using store-bought ground beef. Form a ball, season with salt, and fry it in a pan, flattening it into a patty. Finally, place the cheese slices on the meat to allow them to melt.
Step 3. Fry the egg and toast the croissant halves. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half, add the lettuce leaves, tomatoes, cucumber, and meat. Add the fried egg and cover with the other half of the croissant. Enjoy!
