Potato sticks
The process is quite simple. Grab some potatoes and starch, and season with salt and pepper. You can add sweet or hot paprika and Herbes de Provence for those who love bold flavors. They're ready for indulgence after a short time in the freezer and a quick fry.
Ingredients:
- 2.2 lbs of cooked potatoes,
- salt and pepper to taste,
- 2 tablespoons of potato starch,
- oil for frying,
- ketchup for drizzling,
- parsley or chives.
Method of preparation:
Step 1. Cook the potatoes in salted water and mash them afterward. You can also use leftovers from the previous day.
Step 2. Add potato starch, salt, and pepper, and mix well.
Step 3. Transfer the mixture to a large zip-lock bag, flatten it, seal it, and place it in the freezer for 2 hours.
Step 4. After freezing, remove the mixture from the bag by cutting it open. Place it on a cutting board and slice it into sticks.
Step 5. Fry the sticks in hot, deep oil until they begin to brown. Let them drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. Drizzle with ketchup and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Enjoy!
