Cow chaos in Portugal: Escaped animal causes street mayhem
On Friday, residents of northern Portugal witnessed an unusual event. A cow that escaped from a pen at an agricultural school in Molares traveled four miles, reaching Mondim de Basto. The animal caused chaos on the roads.
The operation to capture the cow lasted several hours. The animal did not stay in one place for long, running on sidewalks and roads and even entering stores. Videos online show local residents in a panic, fleeing or hiding from the cow, which looked like a bull.
Some brave individuals tried to assist local authorities, who were alerted to the animal's presence on the streets. The operation involved several people, including police officers and civil defense personnel. Ultimately, the cow was successfully chased out of the town.
