Thirty-four-year-old Nikolai Ogolobjak returned from the front earlier this month. Like many Russian criminals, he capitalized on the arrangement proposed by Putin, whereby military service can result in amnesty. Before joining the military, Ogolobjak was serving his sentence in a Russian prison. He was a member of a Satanic cult and had been convicted for the ritualistic murders of four teenagers, two of whom he beheaded and partially cannibalized. Despite his heinous crimes, he was now pardoned.
Ogolobjak hails from Yaroslavl, a city in the western part of Russia. His conviction in 2010 for murder and desecration of corpses sent shockwaves throughout the region. Ogolobjak and his fellow Satan worshipers beheaded two of their four victims. The New York Post deemed further explicit details of the crime unfit for citation. In a chilling tribute to the so-called "number of the beast", Ogolobjak stabbed another victim 666 times.
Ogolobjak was not due for release until 2030, but he was allowed to join the military. He subsequently became a member of the infamous Russian unit of convicts, "Storm Z". After six months on the front, he returned to Russia, where he was pardoned by Putin - a fact confirmed by the man's father in an interview with the portal, 76.ru.
- Yes, it's true. He served in the Storm Z unit for six months. He was injured and rendered disabled. He could walk, but the wound was severe. Currently, he is unemployed and recuperating - the father revealed. He stated that Nikolai returned from Ukraine on November 2 and lived with his mother in Yaroslavl, close to Moscow.
