Over the past several years, the number of new coffee shops has seen a noticeable rise, especially in large cities. Americans have embraced this beverage, and few can imagine their daily routine without it. This trend is so strong that residents of the country by the Vistula River are investing in coffee machines yearly.
In this category, coffee machines using unique capsules stand out. Their major advantages are the low cost and ease of daily use. However, these machines have a significantly worse composition and quality of coffee.
In the capsules, besides the coffee itself, there are many other, less desirable substances. Sugar and other flavor additives can be particularly harmful to our health.
Coffee capsules. why aren’t they healthy?
Consuming this type of coffee, even unconsciously, allows us to take in unplanned calories. This is significant because while normal sugar-free coffee can help with a diet, this type poses a significant threat to appropriate calorie intake.
However, this is not the only problem with consuming coffee made from capsules. They are primarily made of plastic, or in some cases, aluminum, which can seep into the beverage. These materials may include, among other things, bisphenol A, which can cause potential complications in the endocrine and nervous systems.
