Clean your toilet like a pro with these kitchen hacks

A clean toilet is a hallmark of any home. However, to keep it in perfect condition, you need to spend some time thoroughly cleaning it. How can you make the toilet look like it's in a hotel? It's worth using two kitchen items that can handle those hard-to-reach places.

The toilet is one of the most frequently used rooms in the house. Right after the kitchen, it's where the most germs gather. We often don't realize that after flushing the toilet, bacteria can be dispersed up to 5 feet high.

Microorganisms settle on our toothbrushes, combs, and towels. Even if we close the toilet lid, it doesn't completely solve the problem. Bacteria can seep through gaps and continue to spread in our bathroom.

How to clean the toilet?

Toilet cleanliness is not only a matter of aesthetics but also health. One of the essential pieces of equipment is the toilet bowl. However, keeping it in perfect condition isn't always easy, despite our efforts. The culprits are streaks and unsightly stains that appear in the bowl.

One of the best solutions is vinegar, which has disinfecting and descaling properties. Vinegar not only works well with the toilet but also removes streaks and scale from the shower or sink. It can be used both on its own and in combination with baking soda.

The basic principle is regularity—don't wait until the dirt becomes hard to remove. Perform weekly cleanings to prevent the appearance of scale or rust stains.

Proper tools are important during cleaning. The traditional toilet brush often doesn't reach hard-to-access areas. An ideal solution is to use an old fork with a kitchen sponge attached. This way, you can easily clean the nooks around the rim of the bowl and other hard-to-reach places.

To prepare this cleaning mix, you need baking soda, citric acid, and water. Mix all the ingredients in a 3:2:1 ratio, then apply them to the dirty area. Leave it for at least half an hour, then thoroughly rinse the surface with water. The toilet will shine with cleanliness.
