Lemon water is widely recognized, but it's not the only way to prepare a quick hot drink. You can also use a spice that you likely have in your kitchen cabinet. It's known for its warming properties, but that's not its only advantage. In Eastern countries, it's a staple in the kitchen, though we often associate it with cakes and desserts.

Why is it worth drinking water with cinnamon? This spice adds flavor to dishes and addresses various health issues. It helps fight acne, reduce cellulite, and decrease body fat. It possesses anti-cancer properties and delays the onset of many diseases. Cinnamon provides essential vitamins like A, E, and K and minerals such as iron, potassium, and magnesium.

Reasons to drink water with cinnamon:

  • Lowers blood sugar levels,
  • Stimulates fat burning, aiding in weight loss, especially when combined with exercise,
  • Curbs appetite with its intense, spicy flavor and zero calories,
  • Quenches thirst and warms the body simultaneously,
  • Stimulates bowel function and helps cleanse them of deposits,
  • Has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, important during the cold season,
  • Supplements vitamin and mineral deficiencies with regular consumption.

How to prepare cinnamon water?

To make cinnamon water, simply place a large piece of cinnamon bark in a glass of water and leave it in the fridge overnight. In the morning, you'll have a ready-to-drink beverage. Alternatively, toss a few pieces of bark into a quart pitcher, fill it with water, and refrigerate it overnight. You can also boil cinnamon with water, using a ratio of one piece of bark per glass of water. Consider adding ginger, cloves, or turmeric with a pinch of pepper. After cooling, the drink can be diluted with mineral water. This type of water is a true health powerhouse!
