Chrysler transforms into a one‑model brand, betting big on Pacifica makeover and EV future
A few days ago, Chrysler officially announced the termination of the 300C model production on December 31, 2023. As a result, the popular Pacifica will be the last remaining model in the brand's lineup.
The existing generation of the Pacifica minivan has been around since 2016. Although there's no direct successor in view, Chrysler has just announced an extensive revision. Chrysler's CEO, Christine Feuell, claims that it will be a bit more than just a slight refresh.
However, this won't transpire immediately. The revamped Pacifica will debut only after the brand's first electric vehicle, which is scheduled to be unveiled in 2025. The manufacturer remains tight-lipped about future plans, revealing only that electrification plays a crucial part.
The plug-in variant available in the Pacifica range serves as a partial introduction to the world of electric mobility. Yet Chrysler aims to feature several full-fledged electric vehicles in its lineup in the future.
Until then, at least for a year, Chrysler will continue being a one-model brand. This is rather surprising for a company that was synonymous with American cars just a few years ago.
