After the successful eleven-season series ended, she had another television success, starring in her comedy "Jesse" on NBC. On social media or in her podcast "MeSSy," the actress talks about the pain she experiences, the inability to walk, and how the disease affects her psyche.
She revealed in one of the episodes that she was in "a real depression where it’s kind of scaring me a little bit because it feels really fatalistic. I’m trapped in, like, this darkness right now that I haven’t felt in I don’t even know how long, probably 20-something years."
"There are just certain things that people take for granted in their lives that I took for granted. Going down the stairs, carrying things—you can't do that anymore... I can still drive my car short distances. I can bring up food to my kid. Up, never down," she confessed.
