In the course of nine months this year, trade turnover between Russia and China increased by 29.5 percent. Its value reached 176.4 billion dollars. China exported goods to Russia with a total value of 81.4 billion dollars, which means an increase of 56.9 percent compared to the same period in the previous year.

"Key partner of Russia"

During this period, China exported goods to Russia with a total value of $81.4 billion. This represents an increase of 56.9 percent compared to the same period in the previous year. Conversely, shipments of goods from Russia to China increased by 12.7 percent, reaching a value close to $94.9 billion.

The advisor to the president of Russia, Maksym Oreshkin, identified China as a key trade partner for Russia. The Russian president, Vladimir Putin, emphasized that both the Russian Federation and China are interested in establishing new trade routes.

Only in September, trade turnover between these two countries amounted to 21.1 billion dollars. In the same month, Russia supplied goods to China worth 11.5 billion dollars, whereas China supplied goods to the Russian Federation with a value of 9.6 billion dollars.

Increase in connections

By the end of 2022, trade turnover between Russia and China had increased by 29.3 percent, reaching a record level of 190.271 billion dollars.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the share of settlements in national currencies in trade between these two countries exceeds 80 percent.
