In Asian countries, they are considered a delicacy, and their attractive price makes them affordable. They can be used to make broth or fried and served as a snack. It's a great way to utilize the whole chicken. Chicken feet truly deserve a chance.

Homemade way to get collagen

At first glance, chicken feet might not look appealing, but they hold a treasure trove of nutrients. They are a natural source of collagen, which we often buy as a supplement. Collagen is essential for healthy joints and skin, hair, and nails elasticity.

The calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium they contain play a crucial role in building and maintaining healthy bones and teeth, reducing the risk of osteoporosis.

Chicken feet are commonly used to make collagen-rich broth, but they are also great grilled or roasted, as in Asian countries. With a slightly spicy, sticky sauce, they become a snack that can win over even the most skeptical.

Don't be put off by their appearance, and prepare chicken feet like you've never tasted before. It's the perfect dish for lovers of Asian flavors.

Ingredients:

  • 5-7 chicken feet
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 3-4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Dried chili flakes
  • Sesame seeds

Preparation:

  1. Cut off the tips with claws from the chicken feet and place them into a pot of boiling water.
  2. Cook until the chicken feet are tender.
  3. In a pan, melt the butter and sauté the finely chopped garlic over low heat.
  4. Add the chicken feet and fry briefly.
  5. Add soy sauce, sweet chili, teriyaki sauce, and chili flakes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and continue frying until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken feet.

You can adjust the proportions of soy sauce and teriyaki to your liking. Don't be stingy with the garlic. Serve the chicken feet warm. Enjoy!
