"Our warriors are equipped with state-of-the-art gear and advanced weaponry," Kadyrov took it to Telegram to announce. "Moreover, these young men possess remarkable bravery and are strongly motivated to achieve results," he further added.
As noted by Malaymail, Kadyrov often refers to his army as "Vladimir Putin's infantry." Despite having criticized Russia's involvement in the conflict on occasion, he views the war in Ukraine as a "bastion against western aggression."
26,000 Chechen fighters have already been deployed to the frontlines
Back in May, Kadyrov revealed that Chechnya, a Federative Republic of Russia, has sent over 26,000 fighters to Ukraine since the conflict's onset. This includes 12,000 volunteers, and around 7,000 of them have been actively engaged in combat throughout this period.
The accuracy of Kadyrov's claims is hard to verify independently, as estimates related to the number of Chechen fighters in Ukraine range.
News of Kadyrov's statement surfaced shortly after reports indicated the highest death toll among Russian soldiers to date. The British Ministry of Defense (MOD) issued a report on Monday stating that Russia is experiencing an average loss of 931 soldiers daily this month, mainly in the battle for the city of Avdiyivka.
