Pop star Charli XCX has joined the cast of another film with an impressive lineup. This is just one of the upcoming film projects for the singer best known for "Brat Summer."

According to Deadline, Charli XCX will join the star-studded cast of the movie "The Gallerist." The artist, known for her hit album "Brat," will appear on screen alongside Jenna Ortega and Natalie Portman. The film will also feature Zach Galifianakis, Sterling K. Brown, Daniel Brühl, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

"The Gallerist" is the latest project from director Cathy Yan, who is renowned for "Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)." The film explores the story of a desperate gallery owner trying to sell the body of a dead man during Art Basel in Miami, the most prestigious art fair in the world. Filming is expected to start later this year.

Charli XCX's acting career is gaining momentum. She is cast in seven films currently in various stages of production. Part of the "Brat Summer" artist's journey was spent in Warsaw, where filming occurred.

Charli XCX will also star in the adaptation of the graphic novel "100 Nights of Hero" by Isabel Greenberg and in "I Want Your Sex" directed by Gregg Araki. Other projects she's announced to be involved in include "Sacrifice" directed by Romain Gavras, a remake of the cult horror "Faces of Death", and the comedy series "Overcompensating".

Fans recently saw the singer and songwriter's acting skills on the popular entertainment show "Saturday Night Live." In the episode aired on November 16, Charli XCX not only performed live tracks from her latest album "Brat" but also won over fans with her comedic timing in a sketch where she parodied Adele.
