This incident occurred near Hyde Park as the horses exited the barracks and were startled by a loud noise caused by a piece of concrete falling from a lift at a nearby construction site. The sudden disturbance led to five horses bolting. One alarming instance saw a horse collide with a car, resulting in the rider being dislodged and the injured animal continuing its frantic escape.

For several hours, the spooked horses charged through the streets of London, eluding capture. Army, police, and medical responders were promptly deployed to manage the situation and assist any injured bystanders.

Clips and images of the injured horses racing through different parts of the city circulated rapidly on social media, highlighting the extent of the commotion.

CNN reported that the runaway horses also inflicted considerable damage in their path. Noteworthy incidents include shattered taxi windows near the Clermont hotel on Buckingham Palace Road and a remarkable scene where one horse crashed through the window of a double-decker tour bus.

Two horses were eventually secured on a highway close to the Limehouse district, while the others were found around 4.3 miles east in the Docklands area.

A British Army representative has assured the public that the horses involved will receive necessary care from a veterinarian, indicating a hopeful recovery for the startled animals.

This extraordinary event will undoubtedly linger in the memories of Londoners and visitors for years to come.
