Rumors about Mbappe
Undoubtedly, most eyes are turned towards the biggest French football superstar and perhaps the biggest football star in the world - Kylian Mbappe. Recently, there have been rumors about a potential transfer to Real Madrid after the end of his contract, which lasts until the end of June 2024. It turns out that Real Madrid is not going to be his choice for the next club in his career. Now, it is possible that young footballer is going to stay in Paris for an even longer period. He is surely frustrated, though, by not the level of play matching his standards. Let's keep in mind that Mbappe has not won the Champions League yet in his career, although he is considered to be one of the best, if not the best footballer in the world right now.
Rumors and uncertainty about his future do not stop Kylian Mbappe from putting forth an incredible performance. This season, he scored thirty goals in twenty-nine matches and got seven assists. He is going to be the main point of the Parisian team in the fight for the best possible result in this year's edition of the Champions League.
Real Sociedad without any chances?
It is really not possible to imagine Real Sociedad winning over the French champions. PSG is named among the favorites to win the Champions League this year, although certainly, they are not the main ones. Last year, they suffered a crushing defeat against Bayern Munchen, which still had not gone very far.
Real Sociedad currently holds the eighth place in the standings of La Liga, and they do not seem to be in their best shape. In their last four La Liga matches, they have won only one, by one point margin. They have lost to Osasuna recently and had two draws against Girona and Vallecano. Analysts give them very few chances against the likes of the Parisian super-team. The Champions League history has seen bigger upsets, though.
Today's showdown is being held in Park de Princes in Paris. The return match is going to take place in San Sebastian on the fifth of March this year.
