The halt in the Gaza fighting began Friday at 1:00 am ET. If all goes to plan, the first batch of 13 hostages is set to be released by 9:00 am, says the Israeli news outlet.

The ceasefire proposal

From a total of 50 hostages, Israel has a list of the first 13 to be released during the four-day pause in the fighting in Gaza. Immediately following this intermission, Israel has vowed to reconsider military action with full force. In addition, 150 Palestinian prisoners, including women and minors, are to be set free by Israel.

The Times of Israel has reported that Israel asserts the temporary ceasefire could be prolonged by an additional day if the terrorists release another 10 hostages.
