'Catwoman' Jocelyne Wildenstein dies at 84, leaves legacy

On New Year's Day, the media reported the passing of "Catwoman" at the age of 84. Shortly before her death, Jocelyne Wildenstein shared a photo on Instagram to celebrate her daughter's birthday, looking notably different at that time.

Jocelyne Wildenstein, 84, passed away in Paris from a pulmonary embolism. She was known as Catwoman and gained fame for her extensive plastic surgeries. Her nickname stemmed from her desire to resemble her favorite animals.

In 2023, during an interview with "The Sunday Times," the Swiss-born celebrity discussed her challenging divorce. Her ex-husband, Alec Wildenstein, had cheated on her and accused her during the trial of their relationship failure due to her numerous plastic surgeries.

After two decades of marriage, their divorce occurred in 1999 and was extremely publicized, partly because of the large sums of money "Catwoman" was expected to receive. The settlement included an annual payment of $100 million and a one-time payment of $2.5 billion.

The latter years of "Catwoman's" life were spent with Lloyd Klein, who was 28 years younger than her.

This is how "Catwoman" looked before plastic surgeries

A few months before her death, Jocelyne Wildenstein shared an archival photo on Instagram with her daughter from a time before her plastic surgery addiction. "Catwoman" appeared very different from how she looked in recent years.

Until recently, Wildenstein insisted that she had not undergone plastic surgeries, attributing her appearance to Swiss genetics. She later conceded to having undergone some procedures, though not as many as the media suggested. The procedures she did undertake allegedly cost $4 million.
