During a bath, Casey got stuck in the shower cabin, making him realize his condition's seriousness.

Eventually I was so exhausted and started breathing heavily. I just could not position myself in a way I could get out, so I just sat in the shower for 11 hours, he recalled.

This traumatic experience motivated Casey to drastically change his lifestyle. He applied to the mentioned television show and underwent bariatric surgery. Then he strictly followed dietary recommendations and exercised regularly.

The transformation didn't happen overnight; it required many months of hard work, but the result was spectacular. The 39-year-old Casey shed massive excess weight, and although he still has excess loose skin, he reflects on his transformation decision only in superlatives.
