Carla Bellucci's lavish wedding: Guests charged $1,990 each for Cape Verde extravaganza
British celebrity Carla Bellucci hosted a grandiose wedding at a five-star hotel in Cape Verde, expecting the guests to cover their own flights and accommodation, as well as pay a fee to attend the celebration. Was it worth it?
Notorious in the UK, Carla Bellucci holds the dubious honor of being "Britain's most hated woman," thanks largely to her unfiltered admissions. In particular, her confessed $9,300 nose job, funded under a pseudo collection, sparked public disdain. Bellucci openly believes that "ugly people don't get anywhere in life," and even encourages her daughter to undergo plastic surgery.
Adding to her controversy are details about her recently conducted wedding, particularly the shocking "invitation of horror" which confirmed her contentious title. A few months ago, Bellucci married her partner, Giovanni. The well-publicized, opulent ceremony took place at a five-star resort in Cape Verde, and was funded by monetary contributions from her guests.

"The Sun" reported a unique spin to Bellucci's wedding; it was a "ticketed" event. Each invited guest was required to pay roughly $1,990, covering their flights to Cape Verde and accommodation. An initial "down payment" of approximately $132 was needed. Upon arrival, guests were expected to hand over an envelope with at least $660 enclosed, amounting to over $330.
"I cannot trust guests with giving presents, therefore I expect them to give me money," confessed Bellucci in the midst of her wedding preparations.
Carla Bellucci shared photos of her extravagant wedding on social media. Bellucci told "The Sun" that she deserves the best, and true to that, her wedding was as luxurious as planned, sparing no expense.
My wedding set both me and my guests back by thousands, however, instead of buying a modest $265 wedding dress to economize, I splurged. My ivory-colored dress cost no less than about $10,600. Nevertheless, we made savings elsewhere. My husband, for instance, wore a budget-friendly $132 suit he purchased on sale. - she disclosed.
Now, judge for yourselves. Would you pay to attend such an "extraordinary" event?
