Cargo plane crashes in Vilnius, search for crew member ongoing
A cargo plane clipped a residential building and crashed right next to it. The air disaster occurred early in the morning in Vilnius, Lithuania. It is already known that at least one person has died, and two were injured. The search for the last crew member of the plane is ongoing.

A tragic accident occurred early Monday morning near the airport in Vilnius. A cargo plane belonging to DHL clipped a residential building and crashed next to it.
According to the Polish Press Agency, out of the four-member crew on board the plane, one person died, two were hospitalized, and one is missing.
Although initial media reports sounded dramatic, Vilmantas Vitkauskas, head of the National Crisis Management Center (NKVC), quoted by Lithuanian public broadcaster LRT, stated that "casualties among residents were avoided." Twelve people were evacuated from the building.
The search for the crew member continues
"Regarding the four-member crew, one person died, two were transported to the hospital. One person has not been located yet," Vitkauskas reported. Rescue services continue the search for the last crew member and are conducting operations to determine the causes of the disaster.
Rescue and investigation teams are working at the site. Residents of the evacuated building have received temporary shelter. "The most important thing is that none of the residents were injured," emphasized the head of NKVC.
