Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly, after the conclusion of the peace formula conference, stated that Canada supports granting Ukraine permission to strike deep into the Russian Federation.

As she emphasized, this is part of Ukraine's self-defense against Russian aggression. "We are also seeking to persuade other countries to adopt this position," she said.

American intelligence and Pentagon skeptical

According to assessments from U.S. intelligence and the Pentagon, allowing Ukraine to conduct long-range strikes on Russian territory will bring Kyiv more losses than benefits, which is why it was recommended not to change the current policy.

An American official told Fox News that the analysis by U.S. intelligence and the Department of Defense showed that allowing long-range attacks "would not have a strategic impact or would not change the course of the war."

Joe Biden himself was also asked about this issue. He replied that his administration "is working out" on it at the moment. US. Secretary of State Antony Blinken mentioned to Sky News that the U.S. might change its position on allowing Ukraine to use long-range missiles in Russia.

"We don't – we never rule out, but when we rule in, we want to make sure it's done in such a way that it can advance what the Ukrainians are trying to achieve," said Blinken.

Meanwhile, on Monday, Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh announced that the United States will not impose "new restrictions on Ukraine's use of American weapons" against Kim's soldiers.
