California mudslide traps cars, all passengers rescued safely

On Thursday morning, near San Jacinto in southern California, a dangerous incident occurred. Heavy rainfall caused a mudslide that surprised six people traveling on a local road. The masses of earth slid onto several cars, almost completely burying them.
Rescue teams arrived swiftly at the scene. One responder described the scene, noting that while some individuals remained inside their vehicles, others had climbed onto them for safety. In some cases, the mud had risen as high as the car windows.
A resident, Fabian Mendez, described the situation as "almost like a mini-earthquake." Fortunately, due to an efficient rescue operation, medical personnel safely evacuated and examined all those affected. No one was hurt.
People living near San Jacinto are no strangers to such incidents. Kevin Hands, a resident, noted that these occurrences have become more frequent, with cars getting stuck and concerns growing. He mentioned the slippery conditions and landslides, calling the situation somewhat unsettling. Many in the area are urging authorities to take preventive measures to avoid similar problems.
