The Bolide, an extreme and exceptionally exclusive model built on the Chiron platform, is Bugatti's latest offering. With the first units of the planned 40 soon to be delivered, it's an opportune time to unveil the interior.
The cockpit, illustrated in these pictures, is the final production version, differing from the early concept designs. However, this is far from being a disadvantage. It might even seem that the final cockpit is more striking and lavish than the preliminary designs.
The spotlight is on the massive central tunnel made of carbon fiber and the wheel that substitutes the traditional steering wheel. Overhead, there's an instrument panel for the driver to manage the driving parameters. Yet, the authentic standout pieces are the ventilation system vents inspired by exhaust tips. The rally color scheme blends black and blue, although clients might be free to select a different configuration.
The ergonomic design is also noteworthy. All the buttons and switches retain a classic, tactile form. The essential buttons are situated in the central console in two vertical rows, while the rest, which are mainly for vehicle settings, are located on the wheel.
The seats, or rather the seats directly fixed to the carbon fiber monocoque, are quite a sight too. Given the difficulty of making adjustments, each seat will be individually crafted to fit the physique of the customer or driver.
Without a doubt, the interior of the Bolide not only matches the body in extravagance but possibly even surpasses it. A fortunate group of 40 will get the chance to own this marvel. Each of them will shell out at least $4.7 million for the experience.
