On September 11 in New York, the MTV VMA 2024, or MTV Video Music Awards, took place. Numerous stars attended the event, and among the winners were Taylor Swift, the controversial Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Lenny Kravitz, Benson Boone, SZA, and Tyla.

As expected, Taylor Swift took home most of the awards. Although the ceremony lacked unexpected twists, it must be admitted that this year's performances were of exceptionally high quality. Chappell Roan, who faced criticism for canceling part of her European tour in favor of the VMAs, delivered an outstanding performance. Sabrina Carpenter also impressed with a brilliant mashup of three singles from her album "Short 'n Sweet" in a surreal, cosmic setting. Her performance included a controversial kiss with an alien, which some argue is a commentary on Donald Trump's remarks about "transgender operations on illegal aliens."
