British actor in hot water after offensive comments at Paris olympics
According to the organizers, the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris was intended to inspire reflection. However, a British actor's distasteful comments on the event have landed him in hot water. A drag queen who performed over the Seine has taken legal action against him. The question is, why?

The ceremony's viewers were split into two camps. Some applauded the innovative idea, while others criticized it severely. The French were accused of making a reference to "The Last Supper," deemed offensive by some. In response, the show's creator clarified that it was meant to depict "a feast of the gods."
Meanwhile, British actor Laurence Fox took to social media to express his displeasure with the performance.
No point in getting wound up when the child f*ckers want to wind you up. Just laugh at the deviant little p*dos. Eternity is a b*tch - he announced angrily on platform X.
British actor to face court for offensive comparison
Fox's comment did not sit well with Nicky Doll, a performer involved in the show. French "L'Equipe" reported that the drag queen initiated legal proceedings against the actor. Her legal representative spoke on behalf of the offended celebrity.
She said Laurence Fox's words were hateful and far exceeded acceptable criticism. She specifically highlighted the part where he compared drag queens to pedophiles.
This is an unprecedented wave of hatred and trivialization of insults based on sexual orientation or gender identity - explained Anna-Sophie Laquens.
Nicky Doll added that she feels like a victim of defamation and demonization of her work. She regretfully stated that "the language of love does not work on some people."
Justice should answer for it. See you in court - we read on X.
Nicky Doll is the stage name of Karl Sanchez. He is a musician who permanently resides in New York.
