Bridget Jones returns: Renée Zellweger's comeback
Bridget Jones is returning to the screens. Work on the fourth installment of the hit movie is currently underway. Renée Zellweger will once again play the title character. The first photos from the set have appeared online.
It's safe to say that the character Bridget Jones has become a true pop culture icon, and millions of viewers have loved her adventures. This should be no surprise, as Bridget was portrayed realistically, with all her flaws and weaknesses. Her honesty with herself and humorous approach to her imperfections make her very likable. Of course, much of this is thanks to the actress who played the role, Renee Zellweger, who performed brilliantly.
Two years ago, Zellweger appeared on "The Jess Cagle Show" on SiriusXM radio. During the conversation, the actress mentioned that she would gladly return to the role of the beloved character. As it turns out, her wish has come true, as it was announced some time ago that another installment of the iconic series is in the works. The fourth installment is titled "Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy".
The film is scheduled to premiere on February 14, 2025, next year's Valentine's Day. According to NBC News, the cast will feature several new faces, including Chiwetel Ejiofor and Leo Woodall. Work on the film is already moving full steam ahead. Photos from London have emerged online, showing Renee Zellweger in action.
