Brian Cox Blasts Trump, Phoenix, and Calls for Monarchy's End

Brian Cox, the formidable elder of the "Succession" family, has little regard for political correctness. When confronted with controversial issues, he speaks his mind without reservation. He recently criticized Joaquin Phoenix for his role in "Napoleon."

While some reminisce fondly about Donald Trump's presidency and pine for his return, Brian Cox, now a permanent resident in the United States, views the prospect of Trump's re-election with dread.

"It’s very hard to govern America, and you certainly don’t need idiots like Trump doing that. I do think that Biden is a good man, but he’s too old" he expressed at this year's HistFest in London.

During the same event, in a session titled "History on stage and on screen", Cox didn’t hold back on his opinion regarding Joaquin Phoenix’s performance in "Napoleon".

"I would have played it a lot better than Joaquin Phoenix, I tell you that. You can say it’s good drama. No — it’s lies," he critically assessed, channeling his inner Logan Roy from "Succession".
