German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius expressed concern about the possibility of halting support for Ukraine, which is facing Russian aggression. During a speech in Peine, Lower Saxony, he noted that "If we stop supporting Ukraine tomorrow, then the day after tomorrow will be the end of Ukraine, the end of a sovereign, free state in the middle of Europe."

The head of the German defense department emphasized the need for Ukraine to act from a position of strength, while also acknowledging that it will eventually have to negotiate with Russia. Responding to those advocating for an end to support for Ukraine, he stressed that although the war is currently confined to Ukraine, it could potentially spread further in the future.

That's right, it's not our war, but it can become ours. Anyone listening to Putin could only come to one conclusion: "Putin is preparing", cites his words the weekly "Zeit" portal.

The minister also warned about Russia's preparations for potential military actions. Anyone who listened to Russian leader Vladimir Putin could only come to one conclusion: Putin is preparing, Pistorius noted." We don't know if and when, but he is preparing."

Russia increases arms production

Pistorius pointed out the increase in arms production in Russia, including the growing number of tanks, which could pose a threat to Europe. He is creating conditions to threaten us seriously, he said, referring to the observed actions of Vladimir Putin.

Putin spoke of a "serious, relentless fight for a new world order." While it may turn out that he never acts on this, Pistorius, as the defense minister, does not want to take that risk. He is not alone in this assessment; similar concerns are voiced in Poland and the Baltic capitals.
