Boris Johnson calls Putin 'idiot' over empire ambitions

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, known for his unwavering support for Ukraine in its conflict with Russia, addressed President Putin directly. "It's over. There's no more empire, Vladimir, you idiot," he stated.

In an interview with an Estonian journalist, Johnson remarked, "What Putin is doing is archaic and barbaric. He must understand that Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania – none of these countries are part of the Russian empire any more, and the same goes for Ukraine."

Johnson addressed Putin

"There is no more empire, Vladimir, you idiot! Sorry, but that’s the way it is," Johnson said in the interview with the Estonian journalist.

Ukrainian media remind us that this is not the first time a high-ranking official has used strong language against Putin.

Putin proposed a "duel." Zelensky didn’t mince words

In mid-December 2024, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky labeled Putin a "dovboyob" (a term meaning fool or moron). Zelensky's remark came in response to Putin's controversial suggestion of a technological duel over Kyiv.

The Russian leader proposed that the West place all available air defense systems in Kyiv to intercept the Russian Oreshnick missile.

"People are dying, and he thinks it’s 'interesting'... Dumbass," Zelensky wrote.
