How can the dish support our body even more? Adding turmeric to the chicken soup enhances it with anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties, thanks to curcumin, a powerful antioxidant. Turmeric supports liver and digestive system functions, making it an excellent ingredient in your daily diet.

Ginger is another subtle ingredient that can boost the health benefits of chicken soup. Its unique anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties make it an ideal addition for fighting colds and infections. It has a warming effect, which is particularly desirable on cooler days. Moreover, ginger contains substances that aid digestion, warm the body, and alleviate pain symptoms.

Recipe for chicken soup with turmeric and ginger

How do you make chicken soup with turmeric and ginger? Anna Trzyna shared her recipe on Instagram. She prepared the broth using two types of meat: chicken drumsticks and beef shin, along with root vegetables (three carrots, a piece of celery, two parsnips, a piece of leek, a previously charred onion), four cloves of garlic, and a few allspice berries and bay leaves. She simmered the broth over low heat for six hours. Half an hour before finishing, she added a grated piece of ginger and turmeric.

Trzyna suggests serving the broth in mugs and drinking it as a warming beverage with the addition of chili flakes and parsley.
