Blik and Google team up to introduce seamless payment option for Polish Google Play Users

Blik has teamed up with Google to roll out a new payment option for Polish users on the Google Play Store. Now, they can easily pay for games or apps using Blik codes, generated through their bank's mobile app, a method already familiar to many from online shopping.

Paying with Blik at the Google Play Store is straightforward. When you're ready to checkout, choose Blik as your payment method. Then, open your bank's mobile app to generate a six-digit Blik code. Enter this code back in Google Play to authorize the payment, and voilà, your purchase is processed promptly, making the products available for use immediately.

Currently, Blik payments can only be made for one-time purchases in the Google Play Store, leaving subscription services out. However, Blik is not the sole payment option there; Android users can set up various payment methods for purchases.

"The collaboration with Google marks a significant milestone for us in broadening the reach of our payment system," remarks Magdalena Kubisa, Business Development Director at Polish Payment Standard, the entity behind Blik. "With Blik's soaring popularity, particularly for online transactions, introducing Blik payment for the Google Play Store is eagerly anticipated by our users. We're looking forward to bringing them this added convenience and a smoother payment experience," she further states.
