Former U.S. President Bill Clinton has been hospitalized in Washington, reports Politico. He is undergoing examinations and being observed after experiencing a high fever.
Bill Clinton was admitted on Monday to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington for examinations and observation after a fever appeared, according to the politician’s advisor, Angel Ureña.
Ureña added in a post on platform X that Clinton “remains in good spirits and deeply appreciates the excellent care he is receiving.”
NBC News quoted a source close to the former U.S. President as saying that the situation was not serious and that the 78-year-old Clinton was “conscious and alert.”
Politico notes that he has faced several health issues in the past, having undergone various surgeries. Most recently, in 2021, he was hospitalized due to an infection.
