During his visit to Israel, Joe Biden addressed representatives of the local government. The US President warned not to make the same mistakes in the war with Hamas that America made after the attacks of 9/11.

The conflict between Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas is intensifying. The Gaza Strip is grappling with massive rocket bombardment, and the humanitarian situation in the area is rapidly deteriorating. The conflict was exacerbated by an explosion in a hospital in Gaza - both sides are blaming each other for the detonation of the building.

Biden warns and promises support

Joe Biden has addressed the situation in the Middle East. The President of the USA made a one-day visit to Israel and decided to make a statement culminating his presence in Tel Aviv. He warned the rulers of Israel about the possibility of making the same mistakes as the USA.

Justice must be served. But I warn you: feeling this rage, do not let it consume you. After the terrorist attacks of September 11th (2001 - ed. note), we were enraged in the USA. Although we sought justice and finally received it, we also made mistakes - Biden stated.

At the same time, Biden observed that decision-making on the battlefield requires caution, thorough analysis, and an assessment of the situation's evolution:

I know that elections are never clear or easy for leaders. They always come with costs. This requires deliberation. It requires asking very difficult questions. It requires clarity about goals and an honest evaluation of whether the path we are on will allow us to achieve these goals - said Joe Biden.

The President of the USA once again assured support for Israel in its conflict with Hamas. He announced that he would appeal to Congress for a military support package within this week, including ensuring the adequate stability of the missile defense system, also known as the Iron Dome.
