On Monday during broad daylight, Russia fired a missile at a hospital in Kyiv and then dropped missiles on other cities in Ukraine, killing at least 37 civilians in the deadliest wave of airstrikes in months, said the President of the USA.

Biden added that Washington and its NATO allies will announce new measures this week to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.

"Act of terror." Missiles hit a children's hospital in Kyiv

The death toll has risen to 37, including three children, and 170 people were injured, including 13 children, after Monday's missile attack on Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelensky said late Monday evening, " damage was reported in seven districts of Kyiv and three cities in the Donetsk region.

In addition to Kyiv, the Russians also attacked Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro, and Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region.

In Kyiv, a missile hit the children's hospital, the largest clinic in the country—Ohmatdyt. Two people, including a doctor, were killed, and 10 were injured. Evacuation of patients was necessary.

Another medical facility was damaged in the capital—a health center in the Dniprovsky district. There, seven people, including three children, were killed, and 18 were injured.

"Russian terrorists must be held accountable for this. Mere concern does not stop terror. Condolences are not a weapon. We need to shoot down Russian missiles. Russian combat aircraft must be destroyed where they are based. Strong steps must be taken to eliminate any security deficit," wrote President Volodymyr Zelensky on platform X.
