At a dinner for foreign correspondents, Joe Biden humorously discussed the upcoming presidential elections, joking about his age and playful jab at Donald Trump by calling him a "6-year-old."

The President of the USA had the honour of hosting this significant dinner for foreign correspondents at the White House. In his address, he highlighted his age; Joe Biden is 81 years old.

"Of course, the 2024 election’s in full swing and, yes, age is an issue: I’m a grown man running against a 6-year-old", Biden quipped in a light-hearted dig at Donald Trump.

In his speech, the President of the USA also touched on the discord between Trump and his former Vice President, Mike Pence. "Age is the only thing we have in common. My vice president actually endorses me" said Biden, contrasting the support he receives with the dynamics within the opposing camp.

Later in his address, Biden expressed concerns that a potential victory for Trump in the upcoming presidential elections could threaten American democracy. He further delved into other pressing issues, including his efforts to secure the release of "Wall Street Journal" journalist Evan Gershkovich, who is detained in Russia.
