During Thursday's debate, President Joe Biden experienced difficult moments multiple times. The sitting president often struggled to find words, which gave Donald Trump a chance for a direct attack. During the debate, which raised concerns among Democrats about his suitability for office, Biden's first major error occurred just 12 minutes in.
As noted by "The Sun," Joe Biden had a tough task. This debate was supposed to quiet the voices claiming the sitting president is too old to seek re-election. Biden’s condition was not the best. His voice was hoarse. He frequently cleared his throat, stuttered, and often apologized, trying to find the right words. It was pointed out that Biden appeared to have a cold.
In response to a question about Medicare — a social insurance program managed by the American administration, Biden made a significant blunder that will likely haunt him throughout the campaign.
We be able to help make sure that all those things we need to do, childcare, elder care, making sure that we continue to strengthen our health care system, making sure that we’re able to make every single solitary person eligible for what I’ve been able to do with the with the COVID, excuse me, dealing with everything we have to do with... We finally beat Medicare - Biden said.
After Biden's words, debate moderator Jake Tapper thanked him for his response and turned to Donald Trump, giving him a chance to speak. The former president seized the opportunity to strike at his opponent.
He did beat Medicare. He beat it to death — Trump stated.
This was not Biden's only blunder, as he is seeking re-election. Another serious misunderstanding occurred when he mentioned the number of billionaires in America and the situation at the border. Trump mercilessly pointed out Biden's mistakes, not missing any opportunity to hit his opponent.
Biden's appearance will not quell concerns about whether Joe Biden's health is good enough to assume office again.
