Joe Biden, who arrived in Israel for an official visit on Wednesday, expressed his belief that the Israeli army was not behind Tuesday's shelling of a hospital in the Palestinian Gaza Strip, which resulted in the deaths of several hundred innocent civilians.

Biden, "distressed and outraged" by this act of war, emphasized his deep dissatisfaction with the situation.

He also recalled the tragic events of October 7, when the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas invaded Israeli territory, leading to the death of over 1300 people, including 31 United States citizens.
