Biden calls for unity; Trump fires back with harsh critique

President of the USA, Joe Biden, delivered an address to the nation. Donald Trump quickly responded to the speech by posting a comment on social media.

In his speech, the US President stated that in the upcoming elections, America is going to have to choose between moving forward or backward, between hope and hate, between unity and division."

"We must choose between moving forward or backward. Between hope and hate. Between unity and division." said Biden.

Speaking in the Oval Office, Biden said that nothing can stand in the way of defending democracy. "I’ve decided the best way forward is to pass the torch to a new generation. That’s the best way to unite our nation," said the US President.

Donald Trump quickly responded to the speech by commenting on his social media platform, Truth Social.

"Crooked Joe Biden’s Oval Office speech was barely understandable, and sooo bad!" wrote Donald Trump.

In another post, he also attacked Kamala Harris, the likely Democratic Party candidate in the presidential elections.

"CROOKED JOE BIDEN AND LYIN’ KAMALA HARRIS ARE A GREAT EMBARRASSMENT TO AMERICA — THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A TIME LIKE THIS" reads Trump's post.
