"His wife and son Hunter are asking, what is wrong with these people you took through this process, where is their loyalty, where is the recognition for what you have managed to achieve," the journalist reported.

On Thursday, the newspaper The New York Times, citing several people close to the president, reported that Joe Biden has begun to slowly accept the possibility that he might not be able to win the November 5 elections and might be forced to withdraw from the race.

"Serving as your president has been the greatest honor of my life. And although I intended to run for re-election, I believe that in the best interest of my party and the country, I should step down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as president for the remainder of my term," stated Joe Biden.
