Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter" tour struggles with ticket sales

Beyoncé launched her "Cowboy Carter" tour, but ticket sales are not meeting expectations. For the opening in Los Angeles, many seats remained unsold. Tickets were available for as low as $20, yet filling the stadiums has been challenging. What is the reason behind it?

Beyoncé, a pop culture icon and Grammy Award winner for Album of the Year, has just started her long-awaited "Cowboy Carter" tour. Despite high expectations, ticket sales for the concerts are not meeting predictions. At the first concert at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, over 3,800 seats remained empty, and secondary market prices dropped to as low as $20.

Low interest despite low prices

The star posted a teaser on Instagram announcing the tour with the caption: "SHE'S COMING." Surprisingly, reactions from internet users were mixed, with some ironically commenting that "no one will come". Despite the media buzz and high expectations, interest in the diva's concert tour remains low.

Reasons for weak sales

It's unclear why tickets aren't selling as they typically do. This could be related to an image crisis after the scandal involving Diddy, which she was unwillingly dragged into. Recall that in October last year, singer Jaguar Wright gave an interview in which she made sharp accusations against the music couple.

Other possible reasons could be organizational or pricing issues. Currently, tickets for the concerts are still available on Ticketmaster, with prices ranging from $47 to $331, and they have even dropped to $20. Numerous TikToks show that the stands at the tour's inaugural concert in Los Angeles were nearly empty. Adding to the challenges, there was an incident in the VIP area of California's SoFi Stadium, where a group of women dressed in cowboy outfits engaged in a physical altercation after starting with screams.

Tour continues unchanged

Despite the weak sales, Beyoncé does not intend to alter her plans. The "Cowboy Carter" tour will continue as scheduled, and fans still have the opportunity to purchase last-minute tickets to experience a live concert by one of the biggest stars in pop music. In an effort to generate more interest in the tour and attract additional audiences, the artist not only once again involved Blue Ivy as a dancer but also invited her second daughter, 7-year-old Rumi, to the first concert in LA. So far, with little success...
